As of this weekend my retail shop "Princess Valiant Coffee & The Best of the Peninsula" is closing. It's been a wonderful experience, but sales have not been sufficient to support overhead costs. February 27th and 28th I'll be there packing up and cleaning, and will have brewed and whole bean coffee available. Local customers should feel free to stop by.
Princess Valiant Coffee in whole bean will be back at Country Aire in downtown Port Angeles this coming week - hopefully by Tuesday. It is currently in stock at Albertsons in Port Angeles - on a rack as you walk into the produce section. Other outlets for my coffee are: Harbinger Winery just west of Port Angeles, Camaraderie Cellars Winery (when the tasting room is open) in Port Angeles, Sunsets West Co-op in Clallam Bay, The Old Post Office Gifts & Sweets in Carlsborg, Nash's Farm Store in Dungeness, Red Rooster Grocery in Sequim. My coffee is also sold on the Sequim Locally Grown Mercantile's website: http://www.sequim.locallygrown.net/
I will do occasional consumer-direct sales within the city limits of Port Angeles - free delivery with an order of at least $18. Send an email to princessvaliantcoffee (at) gmail.com and we can figure out the best way to get your favorite variety of Princess Valiant Coffee to you.
I'm so grateful to all the vendors who had products at my store - and, of course, to all the customers who have shopped there over the last year. I went into it as an experiment - and it just didn't turn out like I had hoped. In this economy many companies are needing to make "mid-course corrections" so that will be my goal for this year!

A shame to see the store close, but Country Aire isn't that much further for me to walk, and good coffee is worth it.
ReplyDeleteI wish you luck in the continuing coffee roasting venture, in no small part because I really enjoy drinking it.
I don't suppose you know if there's still anywhere in Port Angeles I can get Elwha Apiary honey, though, do you?
